Yes, it is that time of the year in the Magic City… While everyone’s calendar is filling up with all kinds of events and art shows for december due to the 11th edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, just this past week we had a couple of major soirées. To start H&M opened its doors to a huge crowd that waited and waited in line to check not only the fashion but the celebs that were invited like Glee’s Matthew Morrison and Gossip Girl’s Chase Crawford. The next stop was at the SLS Hotel South Beach Grand Opening. The über exclusive party had Lenny Kravitz and Philippe Starck hosting it with a very selective pack that enjoyed a special live performance by Bruce Willis’ daughter, Rumer. According to her this was her “first real deal gig”. The next day, Michelle Obama’s favorite designer Thakoon enjoyed a wonderful lunch with few members of the press to talk about his new SS13 collection (as well as his despise for the bandage dress!). Silvia Tcherassi was at her atelier in Coral Gables for the kick-off 2012 Project Emerald as part of BeLive A Philantropic Night for Colombia. And the best for last: PUCCI’s head designer, norwegian blonde Peter Dundas, presented his SS13 collection at Bal Harbour Shops as part of this year Destination Fashion (a huge charitable event) that raised $31 million and had from Nacho Figueras to Tommy Lee Jones among the VIP.
