The 7th Annual Vizcaya Preservation Luncheon can claim the first prize in the race for the classiest event in Miami. This annual daytime fundraiser better known as the “Hat Luncheon” has become one of the most coveted tickets in town. Fashion and philanthropy are fused every year in honor of preserving the historic and enchanting Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. And this time was no different. The most notable (and fashion-forward) women in the city came to support this Florida landmark dressed in sophisticated and colorful hats and fascinators. Fabulous designs from Oscar de la Renta were paired with exquisite jewelry by GRAFF Diamonds as part of an informal modeling for the occasion. A perfect setting, in perfect harmony with the voice of entertainer Jeff Grainger singing Sinatra’s favorites. “Vizcaya is my Passion; I love it and love supporting our beautiful jewel”, said to me one of its co-chairs Sonia Gibson. Sponsors for this year were Ana Maria Balda Decoraciones, Champagne Château de Bligny, Château D’ESCLANS Rosé, Connectaflor, GRAFF Diamonds, GREY GOOSE Vodka, Neiman Marcus Coral Gables, Park Grove, Oscar de la Renta, Royal Flowers, Selecta Magazine and A Thierry’s Catering and Event Design.
